SMTP server to connect to for sending notification email from Customer Portal.

Host – IP of Email Server

User – user id for account on Email Server

Password – password for account on Email Server

SSL – to use SSL for authentication with Email Server

Port – port used to connect to Email server

Template – Register

Email template to be used when system sends out password to backend user – when user is created and when security administrator performs Change Password in User Profile page.

Template – Email content in HTML format with Special Keywords allowed.


Special Keyword - {USERNAME} . System will show the user name in the email


Special Keyword - {PASSWORD} . System will show the password in the email

Template – Forgot Password

When Customer clicks on Forgot Password in Customer portal, they will need to enter their portal user id and system will send customer a Forgot Password email.

The link that user needs to click to confirm performing the Forgot Password action. Administrator can only change the IP section of this URL.


. Administrator can change other parts of the email other than this special keyword URL (except IP part of URL)



When customer clicks on this email, system reset the password will send customer a Reset Password email. Refer to next item.

Special Keyword - {PASSWORD}. System will show the new password in the email.


After customer logs in to portal with new password, customer may need to change to new password – depending on setting in Password Policy (Section 4.10.3)

Duration Expired (Minutes)

Session timeout in minutes for Customer portal. If there is no activity on customer portal after this duration threshold, user will be logged out from Customer portal.
